New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has been named as a co-chair of the newly formed investigative team that President Obama discussed during his State of the Union address earlier this week. This team will monitor and examine risky lending practices in the mortgage industry. Schneiderman also has been the lead on the negotiations between state attorneys general and the five major servicers, which have been working on a settlement for the last year. Read more in DS News.
